BANDA! started the way most good ideas do: a doodle in the margin, a name that made us laugh, and a group chat that should have been asleep. The name became a place to put all of it — the riffs, the crushes, the inside jokes, the questionable taste in eyeliner. BANDA! is an art booth project by DLSU-D multimedia arts students: no shipping, just pre-orders you pick up on site.
MEL (Melody), BAM and BLAZE are the house band. MEL writes the hooks and causes the scene. BAM holds down the low end and says almost nothing. BLAZE hits things with sticks and calls it rhythm. Now the three are ready to take BANDA! to the next level, so they hit the road in search of their 4th member — a guitarist — through chaotic auditions and unexpected encounters. Together they are the loudest excuse we have to draw little characters and turn them into things you can actually keep.

Everything is drawn in-house, produced in small runs, and checked by hand before the booth opens. We are not trying to be a big brand - just a one-time art booth. We are trying to make the kind of objects we wish we could have found at our first gig: cheap enough to collect, weird enough to mean something, and loud enough to start a conversation.
